Warning: SOME BLOOD AND/OR GORE!!!!
(i know there's barely ANY blood but...some people are like that ya know?)
I tossed up between two possible names for this artwork (with little difference may I add) of either "Hell's Bird: Spreading Wings" or "Demon's Possession: The Wings Unfurl" but meh...this will do.
As you can see at the 5th stage of transformation is the most physically painfull of the previous levels. The wings grow underneath the skin of the victim's back and ripp out soon after. The entire wing(s) are bloody with no scales or epidermal (so?) layer so it stings like fuck with the slightest of breezes. The blood on the wings will harden and dry and eventually morph into scales of a crimson colour until finally pigmentation and genes cause them to change their colour to whichever element the one uses (in this case, snow/water/ice).
The 6th and final stage of possession is where the really fight begins: over their sanity.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
